AdvoCare's Family and Youth Defense Fund is established as a legal defense
fund using AdvoCare's current tax exempt status and charitable purpose under their Family Bound program. The purpose
of the fund would be to provide assistance in general actions, individual cases, or for filing amicus briefs where the
outcome of such cases may effect our members and the general public in areas related to our organizations charitable purpose,
goals, and description of activities. The fund, and all donations to the fund, would be governed and administered under
the direction of AdvoCare's Board of Directors.
Your contributions are certainly needed and appreciated.

Gemeinschaft Home opened in September of 1986 and provides community-oriented programs and
supervision for individuals in transition from prison to free society.
Advocare is a non-profit, membership organization that is part of a national effort to reduce crime through criminal
justice reform.
The Literacy, Education, and Rehabilitation Advocacy Campaign is our way of educating the
general public as well as public officials on how to implement overall literacy and rehabilitation programs that are designed
to reduce prison populations, crime, and the overall cost of corrections.
The Family Bound program will focus on ideas that pertain
to keeping families united and children directed away from bad behavior that may later lead to criminal acts, substance abuse,
and violence. It is our intent to analyze ways of strengthening families and promoting positive development for young
people that may, in fact, require rethinking the norms of our modern society.
A Little About the Family Bound Concept
RIHD Resource Information Help for the Disadvantaged RIHD provides resources
to help individuals who are incarcerated as well as their family members. Public safety is the main reason our society has
a criminal justice system, so it is incumbent of our society to recognize that only true rehabilitative services will result
in saving tax payers money in the long run, and more importantly it will have a tremendous impact in reducing repeat crimes
by individuals who will one day return from prison back into our society.

Give Judges A Choice
The Give Judges A Choice project will expand on ways
to empower judges with tools that can lead to alternative sentences, especially for youth and substance abusers. Many in the
judiciary feel like they are given few alternatives between prison and setting someone free. We will research new ideas that
provide options which make for more constructive alternatives.
